Itzi: Easy-to-Play Word Game for Families

Itzi is a new fast-paced word game from the creators of Tenzi. (Which is a favorite game we LOVE!! My review of Tenzi is here.) You know when you want to get off screen time or take a break from homework but don’t have a lot of time? Itzi is the answer — at least for us! 
Itzi is for 2 to 8 players, ages 8 and up. The benefit of more players is it takes a bit longer. However, my daughter and I play it just us two quite frequently. Last night as a matter of fact. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to play. We usually play twice or deal more cards because it’s so fast.
Just like Tenzi, there are many ways to play. The most common way is to start with five letter cards. Then someone will flip over an Itzi card that will say a category such as: It’z the last name of a famous inventor or explorer or It’z a kitchen appliance.
Use a letter on your letter cards to call out a correct answer starting with that letter, smackdown your card and discard it. The first person to get rid of all five letter cards wins the game.
